SHORT-TERM PREDICTION OF THE IONOSPHERIC CRITICAL FREQUENCIES OVER BULGARIA

Abstract:
An empirical model has been developed for short-term forecasting of ionospheric critical frequencies over Bulgaria, taking into account the variations in solar and geomagnetic activity. The model is based on data from the vertical sounding of the ionosphere over Bulgaria for the period 1995-2014 and designed to prepare real-time forecasts for the propagation of radio waves during ionospheric reflection on the territory of Bulgaria.
