Abstract:
In the Kazichene – Ravno Pole region, part of the Sofia Plain, significant geothermal resources with suitable characteristics for balneology, heating and other direct applications have been identified. The geological and hydrogeological conditions, including the presence of deep and shallow aquifers, determine the high potential of the deposit. For its effective exploration, a comprehensive use of geophysical methods is recommended, and an appropriate geophysical complex has been proposed for this purpose. The combined approach provides a reliable preliminary assessment of the resource and supports the planning of drilling and future sustainable use of geothermal energy in Bulgaria.
